Sometimes the hardest battle isn’t with the world outside, but with the one whispering in your ear. It’s easy to say we don’t care what people think, but convincing our own mind is a different story.
There’s a specific kind of exhaustion that comes from maintaining a stoic exterior while your internal monologue is busy sabotaging you. We like to think of the Viking spirit as unbreakable, but even the strongest shield-wall can have cracks when the enemy is already inside the gates.
In Part 2 of "The Weight," we’re looking at that disconnect—the moment when you tell the world you’re fine, but that familiar voice is there to remind you otherwise.
Oh yes, the self-sabotaging inner voice.

DeleteThis feels really honest, like it actually says what a lot of people think but don’t admit. The “enemy inside the gates” part is kinda powerful and makes it hit harder.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad others see this, I gambled a bit when I created this but this is how I see it.
