An everyday walk with the dog takes an unexpected turn into ancient history! When Northman stops to share a bit of local Iron Age lore with Magnus, imagination suddenly gets a whole lot more real...
This scenario is something I daydream about on nearly every walk with Magnus. My imagination just runs wild, and this entire story grew out of those quiet moments on our usual route.
I always intended for this arc to be an epic, and a story like that deserves a properly immersive backdrop. I typically prefer cleaner, less cluttered panels, but here, the complexity was essential. It was the best way to visually convey the leap across two millennia in a single moment.
